The Conway EcoFest won the 2017 Community Involvement Program of the Year award during the Arkansas Recycling Coalition’s (ARC)annual awards presentation.
This award honors an agency/association who has made a significant contribution to the advancement of waste reduction, recycling, and sustainability in Arkansas over the past year.
On hand to accept the award from ARC’s Awards Committee Chairman, Bobby Fanning, was Treci Buchanan, who helps organize the Conway EcoFest.
The presentation took place during the Arkansas Recycling Coalition’s 27th Annual Conference and Trade Show.
Each year this educational event attracts many professionals in the reduce, reuse, recycle and sustainability field from around the state and nation.
Conway EcoFest 2017, which has the theme “ACTION Local, IMPACT Global,” will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 14 at Laurel Park, 2310 Robinson Avenue.
Conway EcoFest promotes growth for a healthier environment and community through sustainability, education and innovation.
EcoFest provides 200+ educational and interactive exhibitors, including Mid-America Museum and Eco-Challenge, live music and entertainment, a marketplace, food and fun, organizers said.
