Interact Club Participates in Conway Ecofest

St. Joseph School’s Interact Club took part in EcoFest at Laurel Park Oct. 14th. The club, which is affiliated with the Conway Rotary Club, promoted digital citizenship and social media etiquette.

Club members made bracelets that included phrases like “Be Kind Online” and “Be Buddies, Not Bullies.”

Activity and coloring books, provided by the Arkansas Attorney General’s Office, were also distributed.

The Conway EcoFest started in 2009 by community members, partnered with the City of Conway, who had a goal to create an interactive event centered around environmental education which allowed guests to explore the many connections among issues.

The organization is now a volunteer nonprofit with a “passion to grow and encourage a better understanding” regarding how everyone, their lives and their choices are connected to the environment.
